ERP UK joins the Association of Convenience Stores
ERP to provide advice and support to members of the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS).
ERP UK becomes a member of the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) to provide advice and support to members at a time of change and uncertainty over packaging reform and the introduction of a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS).
ACS supports its members – over 33,500 local shops - through political lobbying, advising on retail legislation, and running industry events.
“ERP UK are delighted to join the Association of Convenience Stores - with over 15 years’ experience we offer support as an active voice within waste management and compliance. We look forward to engaging with members via webinars, workshops and events - providing advice on labelling, as well as packaging and battery obligations, particularly during a time of significant change within the industry.” – Richard Dove, Business Development Manager.
In the wake of the release by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) of consultations on a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) and also on significant reform to the UK’s packaging producer responsibility system, this is a crucial time for convenience stores who may be facing the introduction of a manual returns system. As an ACS member, ERP are positioned to support and advise local shops throughout this process.
ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “We are delighted to welcome ERP UK to Connect membership, demonstrating their commitment to the growing convenience sector. We look forward to working with ERP UK in the future through our exclusive package of networking events with senior retailers.”
