Day to raise awareness of the environmental impact of fluorinated gases

“Challenges for the F-Gas Sector: Legislation, Strategies and Climate Action” | September 14 – 9:30 am to 1:00 pm

The conference is part of the KET4F-Gas project, a European project co-financed by the Interreg Sudoe Programme, through the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), inserted in priority axis (1), Research and Innovation, and whose main objective is to reduce the environmental impact of fluorinated gases through the development and implementation of Essential Enabling Technologies (KET). The main results of the project and its imminent benefits for the refrigeration industry will be presented, since in the regions of the Sudoe area there is still no technology applied in this area.

Likewise, the conference aims to better understand the needs of the industrial sector involved at any stage of the fluorinated refrigerant gas value chain, analyzing the current problems and future perspectives of the sector, in order to comply with current legislation. For this, we will have representatives of the companies that produce, distribute, install and manage these gases, as well as the public administration, in order to present a constructive conference that allows us to identify paths for improvement and bring the technological developments of the project closer to the real needs of the sector.
