Bumper Batteries Harvest from South Wales Schools

October 26th, 2017

Another successful year has seen almost four tonnes of portable batteries collected so far from schools in South Wales.

Five councils - Caerphilly, Cardiff, Newport, Powys and Rhondda Cynon Taf - are running portable battery recycling competitions with ERP UK's support this year. Powys and Rhondda Cynon Taf are running their competitions over the whole year (with collections due to take place in Q1 2018) so the overall amount of portable batteries collected from South Wales schools in 2017 will increase.

This is now the sixth year that trailblazers, Caerphilly Council, have run portable battery recycling competitions with their schools.
